Great little gadget here, no problems setting up and using. Very cost effective way to back up all the stuff on your mobile. The software for the sim back up is a little primitive but what do you expect for so little money. If you go on to Veho’s website you can download the full manual which makes it easier to understand

i bought this for sim back up, and to be honest i imagine thats why most people would be looking at this item.
as has been said it does work and i personally found the software pretty simple to use and to get a back up of my contacts from my old sim onto my computer.
however my problems came in transfering those contacts onto my new phone, i tried to use the phone software to install them but recieved an error message along the lines of “wrong contacts layout”
when i opened up the simple text files that the contacts are saved in, it was quickly apparent that contacts are saved in specific orders, with titles above and that this changes for basically every phone.
so i was able to recover all my contacts from my sim, including numbers i didnt have any where else, so was very relieved. However i ended up having to input them all manually onto my phone via my pc (so much quicker typing on a keyboard) one entry at a time.
in summary i have no regrets buying this just to have recovered some lost contacts, however its by no means a perfect piece of kit, to be fair though i think alot of this is simply down to the sim technology its self.

For a budget item, this is pretty good, but don’t be tempted to think that you’re getting an all singing and dancing device with fancy software and loads of features just becuase it’s got allot of ports on it.
The software is basic and functional. The translation from Chinese is not great in places, but you can pretty much work out everything without too much trouble.
The SIM reader function is a bit hit and miss. From the O2 sim in my LG Viewty it only reads about half the contacts on the sim (the half it reads seems to vary randomly with each attempt), however from my wife’s Vodafone sim from her Motorola V3, it reads everything.
I’ve used the device with various memory card formats and they all seem to work fine. The only niggle I have there is that it’s extremly easy to mis-align a micro SD card with the reader slot and it slips into the open cavity for the sim slot. This means that the micro SD then dissapears into the device and rattles around inside it. It’s also very difficult to get it back out again when this happens. But when it’s happened once, you start to get a bit more careful about how you insert the cards
Overall, it’s a good effort and even considering it’s shortcommings it’s still good value for money.
