It is nearly impossible to find a similar phone on the high street, so great finding one on Amazon. I wanted one for my mother who has failing eyesight, for when she goes out. She is 88 and has no concept of how to use a mobile.
My main critisium of the phone was the main instructions and set up is in chinese, however once I got someone to change the settings to english it was easy and simple to use. I typed out in large letters how to use the phone for my mother and she can now manage to make a phone call. There is an alarm button on it, again very good for mum, and also a torch, so over all an excellant phone especially for the elderly and partially sighted. I would definately recommend this phone but you will need someone to sort it out first if you are not familiar with mobile phones.

I bought this for my Dad – he loved it and he’s a complete novis for anything technical. Big buttons and simple to use. Seting up contacts etc was a little tricky so I had to do this in advance of giving it to him. The SOS button is a fantastic idea and works great. It also looks modern so not an embarrassment to him!

I bought this ‘phone as an antidote to ‘smart’ phones. I wanted a phone that was just a phone – not someone who really uses other features much.
I think the design is excellent, and that generally the simple features are easy to use. I appreciate the built in torch, and the slider button lock feature.
However, it came with an inadequate manual; in english, and a full manual in chinese only.
It is good for texting, with predictive text input and other modes – but beware the various chinese text modes, which I don’t think can be disabled – had me very confused a few times (but never Confucius).
The radio is surprisingly good, and works without the earphone being plugged in.
The menu system takes me back 10 years to the old Nokia approach, which is a little clunky, but solid enough.
Lots of people have said; “that’s just the ‘phone my mum/aunt/gran needs” (I am a 40 something bloke) – but I do agree, it would be useful as an emergency ‘phone for someone who really doesn’t want to bother with a mobile – it has an SOS button on the back that dials a user set number.

The LUPO is a good phone and easy to use. The instructions are not good and should be written in proper English with proper explanations of what does what. The manufacturere/retailers/wholesalers should remember that the phone is designed for elderly, and/or, disabled people, who have probably not had recourse to a mobile phone in the past.
