Was excited to find a simple and seemingly well built product when I opened the packaging. Everything seemed good as I pulled things out of the box and excitedly went to the car for installation. Unfortunately, I quickly ran into some problems….
First, the directions had no written instructions…only counter-intuitive drawings.
Next, the mounting system required putting a strong adhesive onto your hardshell case as well as your car. The adhesive was meant to connect a plastic connecting adapter. This adapter was about the diameter of a quarter and the thickness of three quarters stacked. Attaching this part, I assume, was a permanent decision. Since there were no details in the instructions on how or if the adhesive could be removed I choose not to take this step.
Reasons being: didn’t want to put something on my brand new and pretty dash board, didn’t want to put something on my brand new pretty hard case, was concerned that if I choose a different hard case or a different dash board I wouldn’t be able to use the adapter any longer.
Included with the product was an adapter that could hold the Iphone, without a case. This adapter seemed solid and I would have felt comfortable using this were it not for the inconvenience of taking my phone out of its case over and over again.
Also, there was a window mount that used a solid suction/locking mechanism. This also seemed solid and functional. However, my windshield is too far away from the wheel and charging points for my phone.
I was originally sold on the claims that the mount was well designed as well as hard case and dash mount compatible. I returned the product because I was not comfortable making permanent alterations to my vehicle and hard case.

i bought this after i saw it at ces show 2010 in las vegas, where it won the best of show award. it is an unique approach to mounting an iphone to the car. most users, like me whose iphone has a case from day one, is looking for a solution that can mount the iphone without taking the case down. this product solves this problem with a go button that i put on the back of my case, and then mount it directly onto the mount. it is the only product out there that allows me to mount my iphone with a case without resorting to over-sized and ugly brackets to cradle it. this product is particularly useful for hard cases, because then it is sturdy and u can rotate the phone easily on the mount.
i gave it 4 stars instead of 5 for the fact that the go btn protrudes a couple of millimeters to the thickness of my iphone case and that can be bothersome when i put it in your pocket or a leather pouch. but i find that buying thicker leather pouch (like the one for housing piggy-backed battery pack like mophiejuice) would take care of the problem nicely. i also like the fact that i can mount it higher on the windshield so my iphone is always within my hand’s reach. overall, a well built product that provides an alternative solution to a common problem.

This device is very cumbersome to assemble and install. The manufacturer did not pay attention to the finer details. Ikea furniture is easier to assemble than this device. Then, there is the part that needs to be attached to the case, which makes no sense at all. I would like to use this device in the car and I that should be required is plug in the phone in the mount and you’re good to go. Not so with this device. Would not recommend this item, there are other cheaper products that do a better job available in the market.
