@randyshear I installed this rom on my phone and I love it, especially the app drawer. I was rather disappointed when I noticed swype was gone! Why? Is there anyway of getting it back without having to go back to basic froyo??

can you make a list of your favorite roms from best to worst for the epic
i currently have supernova and it randomly restarts sooo… guess ima go to this truely epic ur always talkn about =p
love your videos

Thanks for your review, i am downloading it now.

@sockaplaya UPDATED VIDEO OF VIPERrom 3.0.3 12/15/10 stable, everything works! A2SD, GPS, and more!

@tonybailey89 Quadrant was 1021 and linpack was 13.9 in 5.9 sec. However, don’t put too much stock in to quadrant.. I just added a vid of VIPERrom 3.0.3 and I’m pulling 1900+/- on quadrant (I installed the VIPERspeed APK), and 14 MFLOPS. See the vid.. Both are good ROMS, but the VIPERrom is really amazing too.

@randyshear
Oh wow I guess I’m pretty late then lol, that’s a huge piece of information…I’m DEFINATELY going to flash to Froyo…and this ROM looks like a great start, I’ll make sure to comment back on how it works out for me.

One more quick question what scores have you gotten in Quadrant and Linpack?

@tonybailey89 FYI all of these new DK28 android 2.2s are full, legit OTA versions. The official android 2.2 has been released for some time now. (early december) so none of these are BETA anymore. I have not tried installing themes over my ROM, so I can’t really say. NANDROID it, and try it out. If it doesn’t work, just restore back. Let us know if it works! Thanks.

@sockaplaya The kernel is basically the middle man between your hardware and software. (memmory, I/O, keys, etc), and manages all of your system resources. Custom kernels remap the way a device manages these resources, and I/O, thus making some faster, making overclocking possible, and saving on battery life. Custom kernels are much needed and wanted on Android devices.

Do you know if this ROM is compatable with the themes out for DK28…I’m still on Baked Snack 1.6 which is a Eclair 2.1 ROM and I’m very nervious about upgrading to the “BETA” versions of Froyo because of all the constant issues I’m always hearing about with it…..and does this come with any custom kernels?

@randyshear prob a stupid question but what does it having its own custom kernal do

@sockaplaya I used VIPERrom for a long time, but there were too many bugs so I went looking for a more stable ROM. I love this ROM but VIPERrom just released version 3.0.3 today, GPS is fixed, and it has a custom kernel. I haven’t tried it out yet, but will be posting a vid on it soon.

what is your opinion between this rom and viper rom

i have viper rom but i could never get the gps to work =/
does everything work on this 1 ?
